This charming and rustic cabin is located close to the town of Golden, yet far enough out to feel like you are in the beautiful wilderness. Uniquely built from recycled projects and fallen wood from our land, Bear's Den is a cozy, small cabin, perfect for two couples or a small family. The cabin has a private hot tub next to the back deck, a wood stove, a campfire area, and all the amenities you should need for a comfortable stay.

Bear's Den cabin is part of the Wild Wood Cabins family, sitting first in the row of 5 cabins. The cabin is uniquely built and set in a forested area. The interior is warm and inviting, with modern amenities in a rustic setting. The living/kitchen area is large and open with a wood stove, creating a nice atmosphere. We have done our best to provide you with all you should need to prepare meals, sleep comfortably and stay clean. The cabin sleeps 4 comfortably in two bedrooms, and also has a pull out couch in the living area. There is one bathroom to share, located on the top floor next to the master bedroom. The main floor hosts a large entrance for all your sports equipment or luggage. There is a large deck at the back of the house with a BBQ for guests to use during the summer or winter. Step off the deck into an inviting hot tub that comfortably seats 4 adults. The yard space is large and although you will see the neighbouring cabins, guest will have plenty of their own private space. For groups larger than the cabin limit, we suggest booking our cabin next door: Cougar's Cave (which sleeps 6).

Our property is located just under 7km from the Town of Golden, BC. The drive is about 8min to the nearest grocery store. We are a 20 min drive from Kicking Horse Resort.

We have lived in Golden with our family for over 14 years. As white water raft guides and skiing enthusiasts we found Golden had everything we loved just a stones throw away. We love the mountains, rivers and valley and hope to share our beautiful part of the world with others.

Some of our favourite things to do are: biking the free beautiful cross-country trails all over the valley, skiing (winter) at Kicking Horse Mountain resort with our kids (only a 20min drive from our house to the ski hill), hiking in many beautiful places in and around Golden, white water rafting on the Kicking Horse River, snowmobiling day trips into some amazing mountain terrain (winter), and also boating and free-camping along Kinbasket lake just north of Golden.

Our favourite restaurants are:
The Wolf's Den in town, great burgers,
Truffle Pigs in Field (35 min East of Golden) unique gourmet food with great tastes!
