Absolutely wonderful tour. Alfonso was such a personable guide with an amazing energy, and so much knowledge. The inclusion of the songs only added to the already wonderful experience. He did an amazing job of talking about very heavy subjects honestly, factually yet still sensitively. 20/10 phenomenal

Alfonso was an excellent guide, storyteller, drummer and, generous person with his time and explanations. He covered a number of historical topics very clearly and factually, frequently reiterating that reconciliation is a journey for us all. We learned so much about the history of the area, the first nations communities of what is now Stanley Park and, current challenges for the Coast Salish people. A really wonderful experience despite a range of heavy topics. Highly recommended!

SO GLAD I took this tour. I met Alfonso at Stanley Park, and we walked along the sea walls as he told me historical facts and stories. This tour was truly special and lent me an authentic lens to the past, present and future of the peoples of the First Nations. I highly recommend it to everyone.

This was an important experience for a number of reasons and Alfonso was an amazing, approachable and welcoming storyteller and guide. He took us through various points of Stanley Park and taught us about the Indigenous histories, peoples and culture for this region. In addition to his own personal story and journey with reconciliation and healing. Very powerful, very transformative and a must for anyone visiting Vancouver!

Really interesting walk. Alfonso was my guide telling me about the history of the area of the first people there and what their lives were like before first contact. I would highly recommend this walk that will allow you to get a glimpse into the lives of the original people and allow you to ask questions from someone who knows about the culture, history, and lives of those in the area.
