Mindfulness is a skill we cultivate.
In this experience, I will guide you through a movement routine which I perform the night before competition.
Whether we are on the ice, in the classroom or at our makeshift home office, it's important to be able to manage our thoughts and feelings. We will speak to the importance of mindfulness in sport, what it means to be mindful, and the techniques we could all use to centre ourselves.
This experience is full of stretches and yoga poses for all skill levels, and focuses on bringing your attention to your mind, body and breath. You will get a glimpse of an athlete's Pre-Race routine in preparation for mental and physical peak performance.
The strategies in this Online Experience were inspired by Classroom Champions’ Social and Emotional Learning Foundations Curriculum. Classroom Champions pairs Olympians and Para Olympians with underserved classrooms across North America to help kids understand the real-world application of skills like perseverance, goal setting, and leadership through mentorship.
This experience is Great for Teams, Employee Engagements Group bookings or Solo Adventurers.

I’m a highly driven Olympic athlete who sets intention for purposeful and mindful work. I’m a multiple World Cup medalist in Skeleton and a Team Competition World Championships medalist.
I use yoga, meditation, and mindfulness techniques to increase mental performance during competitions. I believe that being aware of your "now" helps you regulate emotions and reactions in difficult situations.
I am also an Athlete Mentor for Classroom Champions. I volunteer my time to teach social and emotional learning skills within Classroom Champions’ Curriculum, underscoring the value of dreams, grit, and perseverance through the power of mentorship.
