When you arrive at our beautiful urban farm, you will be greeted by a fuzzy spoiled crew of rescued llamas and alpacas. Take a moment to photograph them or take selfies. Walk down through our garden, down a stone lined path and enter the magical world of camelids, bamboo, and listen to the sound of the fountain at the center of the courtyard. To your left, you'll take in the gorgeous barn with 1900s barn doors, enter the beautiful space. The barn is built from reclaimed barn wood, 1860 stained glass window, old beams, old doors and windows. The structure is composed or reclaimed antique glass doors so you can see the bamboo forest, the alpacas, the llamas. Just beyond the bamboo is the treehouse. Our wonderful instructor will then greet you and ground you and take you through the most zen, magical yoga experience. Soak in the magic and mystery of the place as you unwind both your body and soul. Several psychics have said that this is sacred ground. Experience it for yourself. You'll enjoy a one-hour guided experience where you learn about our six spoiled llamas and four suri alpacas, our farm, our bamboo forest, see our treehouse from the ground, the beautiful structures, built from reclaimed materials. All of our animals are rescues and have gone from (in some cases neglect and abuse), to a loving environment in their habitat and Bamboo Forest. You will learn about these highly intelligent animals, their herd dynamics, individual personalities, get up close to them, and learn about non-verbal communications, and quirks. After our tastebuds have adjusted to the vibrant nuances of agave, i’ll show my approach to libations by crafting your first cocktail of this experince. Finally, I’ll we’ll collaborate to build your own unique cocktail with seasonal fruit, bitters, & spices! Feel free to request this experience for an intamate or corporate affair. You'll meet at the location and come in for a drink (BYOB also available) and have a seat at the candle making table. Your instructor will begin teaching you how the make a soy candle in an 8oz tin. After choosing your scents and creating a custom scent, you will then choose crystal chips to add to the top. Your candle must sit for a hour before departing with it. At that time you can browse and shop our store and take pictures on our backdrop or chill out in the lounge enjoying complimentary snacks. Nicole will walk you through what to expect and provide everything you need to have a relaxing journey with sound. Mats, bolsters, eye pillows, blankets and all the props you need are supplied. We will do a little movement and deep breathing to get out any stress in our bodies and to prepare you for deep relaxation. Gongs, crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, bells, chimes, drums, tuning forks, harmonium, crystal pyramid, rain stick, and many other instruments will be thoughtfully played in a way that activates your parasympathetic nervous system allowing the body to relax while the different frequencies and vibrations rejuvenate you at a cellular level. Our walk explores the Old Fourth Ward and the history of the Beltline, a rail line built for freight trains, that today is a popular urban walking trail. We'll learn about the way people worked in adjacent businesses and how they lived in nearby neighborhoods. The story of these communities, the Old Fourth Ward and Inman Park, is the story of Atlanta’s growth and the increasing segregation of working class neighborhoods. We’ll explore the meaning of home for people, why porches matter and what makes a suburban neighborhood different. We will look at historic churches and search out a hidden, modern mural that celebrates the historic practice of prayer circles. We’ll talk about what it was like to work in a cotton compress – or even what that meant! Life was different then, join us to think about how people lived and the changes they were adapting to. And we’ll end up close to many great restaurants to stop for a bite to eat or a cold drink and a place to rest your feet.
